Happy New Year 2013!!

It's the one year anniversary of the Seven Spirits Herbal Tea Blend!!  And my, have we GROWN!
I'm now making 13 tea blends (check out the list above).  Most of these blends are not for sale online (yet) but some can be purchased in West Philly (50th and Baltimore) at VIX Emporium.   I sell all of the blends at my local craft show (Go West Craft Fest) which is currently held three times a year (Spring, Fall, and during the holiday season in December).  We shall see if I find the time to update the Etsy shop with all of the blends but if not, definitely come see me in the Spring at the next craft show!!  I will also be selling my herbal aroma sprays (which were a hit at the holiday craft show and I completely sold out) and hopefully some special healing salves.
On a separate but related note, the herbal studies course I began in January 2011 came to completion in November 2012.  I spent two wonderful nine month sessions talking herbs (and all kinds of magic) with a wonderful group of women at the
Farm at Coventry
In September 2012, I began a full-time education program with the amazing herbalist, David Winston, at his Center for Herbal Studies. It's been 5 months since I started class and so far I have to say it is AMAZING.  More on that later.  :)
Happy New Year!!

Moonrise Lullaby

I'm so happy to introduce one of my new tea blends...Moonrise Lullaby.  A gentle, yet effective sleep tea blending Chamomile, Valerian, Passionflower, and Hops Flowers.  Helpful for falling asleep and staying asleep!  Also works great for calming daytime nervousness.

Put yourself to bed!

This blend will be available on my Etsy shop in the next couple of days.

Hearts Open

In celebration of Valentine's Day, I have created a lovely blend combining some of my favorite ingredients.
The flavor of this tea is unique as it delicately shifts between warming Cinnamon, tangy Hibiscus and cooling Peppermint. Quite delicious!

Hearts Open Tea Blend can be purchased here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/TelegraphicTree

I want to share information about an amazing class that starts in March 2012...Homestead Herbalism at Farm at Coventry.  Last year I was lucky enough to take this class and spend nine months learning and growing with a wonderful teacher, Susan Hess.  I met some incredible people and gained valuable hands-on experience working with plants every month.

Here is a link to the Farm at Coventry website: http://www.farmatcoventry.com/homestead-herbalism.htm

I also want to mention the company where I purchase all of my dried herbs, Mountain Rose Herbs.   Their herbs are top quality and their website is an encyclopedia of information.  http://www.mountainroseherbs.com

Both Farm at Coventry and Mountain Rose Herbs have their very own herbal coffee blend and it was from them that I found inspiration to make my own.
