Last year I was lucky enough to take this class and spend nine months learning and growing with a wonderful teacher, Susan Hess. I met some incredible people and gained valuable hands-on experience working with plants every month.

My first tea blend! I have enjoyed herbal "coffee" for years and decided it was time to create my own version. The blend combines some of my favorite herbs and it has become an important part of my morning ritual. Each cotton muslin bag holds 2 oz of tea...a lovely size for an introduction to this blend. Also great for gift giving!

Philadelphia Weekly story

In 2006, I did some acting (!!) for the movie ODDSAC. Danny Perez made the movie with the band Animal Collective. You can see my food fight magic in the very last scene of the movie. I just returned from two amazing weeks spent in Portugal with Meghan (U.S. Girls). The majority of our visit took place in Lisbon where we stayed at an incredible art space ZDB. So many pictures were taken and we filmed for a new video. It will take awhile to organize everything but I will post some of my favorites every couple of days.

Molly Landergan was born in 1979, the year a photograph revealed that Jupiter housed a set of rings around its belly. She is a woman now and taking photos of her own, but she isn't documenting outer space. Instead, her photos are revealing the inner space of the circuits of her life.
The photographs in her latest show, "Still Looking", are about the people she knows who play music. In turn, her photos make their own music. Cacophonous then sparse, one photo may be easy listening and the next a harsh noise escapade. Hair pops in and out and there's sometimes wires and trees or maybe a three-headed being. There's band practice, the "big show" and the unavoidable bumming around. Molly's music, and the music of those who are in her photographs, can be heard if you look hard enough. Polaroid, Holga, Yashica Mat, and Diana are the other stars of "Still Looking" and help to present attentive yet experimental, analog work.
Molly currently resides in West Philadelphia and is a magnet for all the neighborhood cats who are looking to get their lives together. If you are a cat who has been living on the street too long, find Molly.

A video I made is showing February 22-March 13 at the Univeristy of the Arts. I reworked a Tickley Feather video left unfinished back in 2008. It was an exciting theme for a show and I'm excited to see what the other participants created!

I recently spent a day with my friend Meghan taking her photograph. She is musician and her project is called U.S. Girls. The images will be used as press photos for her upcoming European tour. It is a long tour through many far away places (Lisbon! Helsinki! Moscow!).

This is some new album art I made for Brendan's music. It is a collection of old and new Serpents of Wisdom recordings. I printed the cover art and layered the images with vellum prints. The images were then sewn together. I really enjoyed this process and will hopefully making other prints like this in the near future.
This artwork for this CD was a limited edition copy of 1 made for Abby.

Other news...the Tickley Feather video "Sex Face" that I made last spring has been temporarily taken offline. This is to make room for a new video which is currently in the works and should be released in the next couple of weeks. The old video will go back online in the next couple of months.

My friends and I are currently in the process of planning the 2008 Best Fest! This is our fourth annual and it should be as amazing, if not more amazing than the previous years!
